Public Hearing on Licensing Electronic Smoking Devices

Whereas, the Surgeon General has found that electronic cigarettes and related devices pose a significant health risk for youth, and

Whereas, in order to assure that these devices are not being sold to under-age individuals, the Board of Health is in need of a means to track the establishments where these devices are sold, and

Whereas, the licensing of these establishments has been delegated to local authorities by the State of New Jersey…

Montgomery Twp. Board of Health has introduced an ordinance establishing licensing of the Retail Sale of Electronic Smoking Devices.

The Board of Health wants to know what you think

The sale of e-cigarettes and vaping devices to those under the age of 21 is now illegal in NJ.

People who sell these products are looking for towns that are “easy” when it comes following the rules, licensing, and regulation of sales.

What kind of community do we want Montgomery Twp. to be?
