Police Press Release – 9/01/17

On Wednesday August 30th, at 10:55 am, Montgomery Police responded to the intersection of Route 206 and Route 601 for the report of motor vehicle crash.  The police investigation determined Yongmei Tan, 47, of Hopewell, NJ was traveling north on Route 206. Tan entered the Rt. 601 intersection against a red signal and was impacted by a Honda CRV that was traveling into the intersection from Route 601 northbound. The Honda was operated by Frederick Kiegel, 57,of Princeton. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision. Tan was issued motor vehicle summonses for Failure to Observe a Traffic Signal and Careless Driving and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court at a later date.

On Wednesday August 30, at 4:54 pm, Montgomery Police responded to the intersection of Route 206 and Route for a motor vehicle collision. The police investigation determined that a Volkswagen operated by Melissa Copt, 43, of Whitehouse Station was traveling north on Route 206. Ian Parise, 22, of Moorestown, NJ was exiting the Rocky Hill Shell Gas Station and turning left onto Route 206. Copt entered a no passing zone and struck Parise’s vehicle on the north bound side of the highway. There were no injuries reported and Parise’s vehicle was towed as a result of the damage from the collision. Copt was issued a motor vehicle summons for Improper Passing and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court at a later date.

On Thursday August 31, at 12:11 pm, Montgomery Police responded to Route 206 in front of the Red Oak Diner for a motor vehicle crash involving four vehicles. William Wild, 65, of Hillsborough, NJ stated he was traveling north on Route 206 and impacted the rear of a Chevy Camaro operated by Devin Terry, 22, of Columbus, NJ. The impact caused Terry’s vehicle to impact the rear of a Mini Cooper operated by Roberto Celli, 59, of New York, NY. Celli’s vehicle then impacted the rear of an Acura operated by Meghan Morici, 33, of Easton, PA. There were no injuries reported and Wild’s vehicle was towed as a result of the damage from the crash. Wild was issued a motor vehicle summons for Careless Driving and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court at a later date.
