On Tuesday September 19, at 7:21 am, Montgomery Police arrested Dillian Knights, 24, of Brooklyn, NY after finding him asleep in the driver seat of his vehicle parked on the shoulder of Route 206 near Bridgepoint Road. Police observed Knights vehicle parked on the shoulder and stopped to determine if the vehicle was disabled. Police found Knights asleep in the car and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. Police located a small quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle and Knights was placed under arrest. He was processed at police HQ and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia and issued motor vehicle summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and uninsured motorist. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Twp. Municipal Court.
On Wednesday September 27, at 11:43 am, Montgomery Police stopped Gilberto DeGoes Jr., 30, of Newton, NJ after observing him utilizing a hand held cell phone while operating a commercial vehicle on Route 206. During the stop DeGoes was determined to have an active warrant from Harrison, NJ for $150.00. He was placed under arrest and transported to Montgomery Township Police Department for processing. Harrison PD released DeGoes on his own recognizance and he was issued a motor vehicle summons for using a hand held cell phone while driving and released.
On Thursday September, 28, at 9:53 am, Montgomery Police arrested Pedro A. Garcia-Olivera, 27, of Kingston, NJ on an active warrant after having contact with him at his place of employment. After being processed at Montgomery Twp. Police Department he was turned over to the Princeton University Police Department where the warrant originated from.
On Wednesday September 27 at 10:22 pm, Montgomery Police responded to the intersection of Route 601 and Rt. 518 for the report of a motor vehicle crash. Police investigation determined Victoria A. Rhoades, 24, of Hillsborough, NJ was operating a 2005 Nissan Altima southbound on Rt. 601 when she disregarded the traffic control device and impacted a 2001 Honda Civic traveling east on Rt. 518. The Honda Civic was operated by Marye Solanorojas, 33, of Frenchtown, NJ. Montgomery EMS responded for complaint of pain and transported Solanorojas to Hunterdon Medical Center. The vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. Further investigation revealed that Rhoades was in possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia and she was arrested and transported to MTPD for processing. Rhoades was issued complaint summons for marijuana under 50gm and drug paraphernalia and she was also issued motor vehicle summons for Disregard of Traffic Control Device, Careless Driving and CDS in a motor vehicle. She is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Twp. Municipal Court.
On 9/26/17 at approx., 4:00 pm, Montgomery Twp. Police arrested Ryan J. Phillips, 24, of Monmouth Junction, NJ on three outstanding warrants totaling $906. Phillips was stopped after Off. Daniel Balinski ran a random plate inquiry on Phillips’ 1985 Buick while Phillips was traveling on County Route 518. The license plate inquiry revealed that Phillips was driving on a suspended driver’s license and had outstanding warrants out of Hoboken, Union City, and Kearny. Phillips was stopped on Orchard Road where he was arrested and transported back to MTPD for processing. Phillips satisfied his bail and was released on his own recognizance. Phillip also received a summons for driving while suspended.
