Public Review Hearings This Week
Written Comments Accepted Through July 21st
The Department of Environmental Protection has scheduled three daytime and one nighttime public meeting next week to continue to receive feedback on the draft Statewide Water Supply plan released in May.
The 1981 Water Supply Management Act (N.J.S.A. 58:1A-1 et. seq.) directs the DEP to develop and periodically revise the plan for improved water supply management and protection. After releasing the plan in May, DEP scheduled three public meetings in different areas of the state. A fourth hearing, scheduled in the evening, has been added in consideration of public comments received thus far.
Public meetings on the draft plan are scheduled on these dates:
- Tuesday, July 11 at 1 p.m., New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection public hearing room, 401 East State Street, Trenton
- Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m., USGS New Jersey Water Science Center, 3450 Princeton Pike, Lawrence Township
- Wednesday, July 12 at 3 p.m., Millburn Public Library, 200 Glen Avenue, Millburn
- Thursday, July 13 at 1 p.m., Stockton University, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, Campus Center, Board of Trustees Room
